Book Design
The redesign is based on the literary classic story, "The Secret Garden" by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Using Art Nouveau motifs, the design was created around natural and organic linework. The front illustration is an illusion that calls attention to the theme of "looking below the surface level." This is a reoccurring image that brands this edition. The colors were chosen to be visually striking and complimentary, leaning into the colors often associated with spring (i.e. pastel green). Together, the inside pages make reference to the more ornate design theme with a serif font and decorative (yet still simple, as to not detract from the content) chapter page.
